On rare occasion a product comes along that redefines its genre. We're proud to witness such a day. Welcome the Trafomatic Collins. The Collins was named by Sasa Cokic, in honor of Arthur A. Collins, who made significant advances in circuit design and wave propagation in the early 20th century. Read more about his contributions here.
The Trafomatic Collins represents not only the finest sounding phono stage to grace our ears, but also the most versatile. With the ability to run 4 cartridges, tonearms, tables at once, and with full control over all parameters of each cartridge's amplification, it sets a new bar. Indispensable to archivists and record collectors, the Collins is also a 'must' for those who wish to arrange their tables in the following manner: Top stereo cartridge, entry level cartridge (for those records that may have flaws or are yet untested), top mono cartridge, a 78 cartridge or a second favorite cartridge, or an entry level mono cartridge...you see our meaning.
For the serious vinyl listener, the flexibility and ease of use, mated to the depth and gestalt of this circuit, has changed the nature and breadth of our listening sessions. Thank you to Matej Isak and Mono & Stereo for these find photographs.
